After receiving the published update, you can select and configure the Handheld 2.5 device within the POS (Printers screen) as you would with any other printer.
At this time, locations can only use Epson TM-P80II printers with Handheld 2.5 devices.
Updates
The following fixes are included in this release.
GNX-12354 Percentage amounts for payout apportions removed from Checkout Reports
In previous versions, the POS displayed rounded percentage amounts for payout apportions in its Server Checkout Reports. In such cases, the POS listed accurate totals for apportioned payouts to servers and merchants. However, it also rounded those amounts when displaying them as percentages, occasionally displaying amounts that did not match the percentages configured in the Admin Portal. We have corrected this by removing rounded percentage amounts for payout apportions in Server Checkout Reports; it now only includes specific (unrounded) amounts.
GSUPP-397 POS accepts manually entered credit card numbers without error
In previous versions, if your location uses the Heartland/Portico payment gateway, you may have been unable to enter a card number manually when paying a ticket with a credit card. In such cases, when you tried to enter a credit card number manually, the POS did not accept the number and instead displayed the following error message:
We have corrected this, and now when you enter a credit card number manually, the POS accepts the number without generating an error message.
GSUPP-409 POS no longer displays duplicate online orders
In previous versions, if your location uses Online Ordering, the POS may have sent online future orders to its KDS displays multiple times, thereby displaying duplicated orders. This problem only occurred with online orders, and only in locations where the POS was configured to send future orders at the start of each day. After such an order was displayed on the KDS, if you switched the KDS to background mode and then back to foreground, the KDS may have displayed a duplicate of that order. We have corrected this, and the POS no longer displays duplicated online future orders in the KDS display.
GSUPP-424 POS no longer displays duplicates of DoorDash orders in KDS displays
In previous versions, if your location uses the DoorDash service, the POS may have sent incoming DoorDash orders to its KDS displays multiple times. In such cases, the KDS may have displayed duplicated DoorDash orders repeatedly and indefinitely, at intervals of 30 to 45 seconds. We have corrected this, and the POS no longer sends duplicates of incoming DoorDash orders to its KDS displays.
GSUPP-573 POS includes all cash sales properly in Checkout Reports
In previous versions, if your location uses server banks, the POS may not have included all cash sales in a cashier's Checkout Report. In certain rare instances, if the POS screen was locked immediately after you closed the cash drawer, the POS may have been unable to record its next cash transaction properly to its data files. Consequently, it did not include such transactions in its Checkout Reports. We have corrected this, and the POS no longer omits cash sales transactions from its Checkout Reports.
GSUPP-776 DoorDash no longer display "out of stock" items as available
In previous versions, if your location uses the DoorDash service, you may have encountered a problem. If a location marked a menu item as “out of stock”, the DoorDash site may have failed to update the item as unavailable in its menu. Consequently, customers using the DoorDash service could order an item that was out of stock, forcing the location to cancel the order after it was received. We have corrected this, and DoorDash now receives and displays "out of stock" item updates properly in its menus, preventing customers from ordering items that are not in stock.
GSUPP-822 POS prints separate labels per item properly
In previous versions, if your location uses label printers, the POS may not have printed separate labels per item for items with a quantity greater than one. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Location Setup, then click Display Formats. In the Display Formats screen, select an existing display format. In the Settings panel, you can set the printer to print labels by selecting Kitchen Label in the Print Type list. You can then set it to print a separate label for each item by selecting By Item in the Separate Kitchen Slips list.
However, in previous versions, the POS may have printed only one label for an item, even if its quantity was greater than one. For instance, if you ordered an item and set its quantity to "3", the POS printed a single label for the item (with its quantity listed as "3"), rather than three separate labels (one for each item). This problem only occurred in locations using the Epson L90 label printer. We have corrected this, and the POS now prints one label per item when configured to do so.
GSUPP-1319 POS Ticket Search now displays tickets with no credit card tips properly
In previous versions, if you tried to search for tickets with no credit card tips in the POS Ticket Search screen, the app may not have displayed them. In the POS Home screen, if you tap Tickets, the POS accesses the Ticket Search screen, which features various controls to search for tickets. In previous versions, if you selected No CC Tip in the Statuses list, the POS may not have displayed any tickets with no credit card tips. We have corrected this, and now when you select No CC Tip in the Statuses list, the POS does display tickets with no credit card tips.
