When users log in via an iPad, we collect some biometric information, such as a Face ID, so that when clocking in or out, we can detect the correct person.

Where is the biometric information/identification stored?
The biometric data is processed using Amazon Rekognition and stored within AWS S3.
How is the biometric information/identification used?
The biometric data is used to verify the employee’s identity during clock-in and clock-out through the iPad app.
What safeguards are in place to protect employee biometric data?
AWS provides multiple safeguards including encryption and access control mechanisms to help protect the data even in the event of a cybersecurity breach.
How long after an employee has been terminated is the biometric data purged?
Currently, we are not deleting Face ID data when an employee is terminated.
How do I know when my employee's biometric waiver was signed?
Navigate to the timesheet section of the employee's profile and select the link to view the biometric waiver. At the bottom it will show when it was signed and dated.
Is there a way to get my employee's signed biometric waiver after termination?
You would need to reach out to the support team to request a copy of the waiver. It is recommended that you keep a copy for your own records after the employee signs the waiver.
