Warnings You Can Ignore
- See the three warnings below. The Division, Department, and Name columns do not correspond to actual fields in the system. You can ignore these and proceed with the import. They are on the spreadsheet for informational purposes only.
- To prevent these warnings from showing, these three columns can be deleted from the spreadsheet after you have entered all your payroll information before the file is imported.
💡 If errors/warnings appear other than the ones listed above (Warnings You Can Ignore), please send your import file and the error/warning message to your Payroll Support Team for assistance.
Multiple Client Pay Items
This warning is due to the fact that there are duplicate Earning, Deduction, or Memo Calculation Codes or Titles in the system. All of these must be different across all three categories. Please send the message below to your Payroll Support Team so they can update any duplicated pay item Codes and Titles.
Employee Key Does Not Match
These warnings occur when an employee on the import file is missing an employee number or their employee number does not match the employee number in the payroll system for any of the existing employees. If the employee is missing, they may need to be added to the payroll system. If they are already on the payroll account, the employee number on the file will need to be corrected in either your POS/Time Clock system or in the payroll system so that both systems match.
Terminated Employee
The system is simply warning that a terminated employee is being paid. You may or may not want to pay the terminated employee. If the employee should not be paid, cancel the import and delete their information from the import file before attempting to import again.
💡 The terminated employee’s name or hours will not appear in Time Entry by default. Review the Payroll Register before processing payroll to confirm whether or not the terminated employee is being paid. If you need to make any updates to the terminated employee’s hours, you can do so by going to Individual Time Entry.
