If an employee is to be paid based on a specific job, navigate to Employees, and then select the employee’s name. Next select the Time & Attendance tab, and then elect Pay Rules and Rates.
Scroll down the page until you see Job Based Pay Rates.
Select the +Assign New Job Specific Pay Rate link.
Select the Job from the dropdown menu. Next, select either Use Employee’s Pay Rate or enter a Job Rate.
If you need to add a fringe rate (for example if there’s a fringe associated with government jobs), select Add Fringe. Enter the amount and choose whether it is percentage based or dollar based.
Enter an effective date. When you are ready, select Save.
The new job rate will appear on the page.
If you would like to view the history of previous job-based rates, select the Show History checkbox.
