The Kitchen Groups screen includes controls that enable you to define and configure menu kitchen groups. You can use kitchen groups to group menu items together for a display format that determines where the item prints (such as “Bar”, “Grill”, “Salad Bar”, “Dessert”, or “Sushi”. Kitchen groups can be useful in locations that use separate printers, like a “Grill” printer, to notify staff members working in that section that an order has been placed.
To access the Kitchen Groups screen, log into the Admin Console, select an appropriate account. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Menu, then click Kitchen Groups. In the Kitchen Groups screen, click New to create a new menu kitchen group.
Name: Type a descriptive name for the new kitchen group.
Assigned Items: In this list, you can select one or more menu items to associate with this kitchen group. For example, if you create a new kitchen group called “Dessert Bar”, you might assign such menu items as “Cookies”, “Brownies”, and “Chocolate Cake”. To delete a menu item from this list, click its Delete button.
