Only enabled payment types are included as Add Payment tender options. If you choose not to accept alternative forms of payment using Heartland Retail POS (such as checks or gift cards), you can disable those payment types.

Note: Cash and check payment types can only be disabled when the Use Financial System option is enabled in Settings > Financial.

To disable a payment type:

1. In Settings, select Payment Types.
2. Select the name of the payment type, and then ensure the toggle is set to Disabled.
