Payroll → Time Entry → Individual Time Entry
Post a check as manual when the employee will be paid the net pay directly by their employer. A manual check will record the figures and have taxes paid, but will not issue a live check or a direct deposit.
Follow the same steps for adding an Additional Check to enter a manual check accurately. Once you preview the check, select the blue arrow at the top left to expand the Post As Manual Check section.
You can enter specific dates that will only appear on the check stub or leave them as-is for the current pay schedule information to populate in those fields. You can also enter a unique check number, such as the check number, from the business checking account. Once you’ve entered the information, select Post as Manual to record this in the system.
💡 For more detailed information, reference our [Manual Check Client Guide]. If a check has been posted as manual and needs to be changed, delete the check and reenter, as nothing will recalculate after the check is posted.
