One-Time Earning/Deduction Entry
To see all earnings and deductions, update your template to All and enter the one-time amounts.
When entering earnings, enter the amount in the appropriate column. There is a column for Hours (ex: 15 Other hours) and also for Dollars (ex: $500 Bonus).
If you scroll toward the bottom of the page, you will see the section for deductions. Here you can block the recurring deductions, or you can manually input an amount. If you need to override an amount for a recurring deduction, first select the Block box to ensure the recurring amount does not calculate, and then manually enter the new amount for this one-time check.
One-Time Tax Changes
You can make one-time changes to certain employee taxes using your All template. Here you can block and/or enter a custom amount for the specific tax(es).
Block Tax: Select the Block box to prevent a specific tax from being withheld from the check. You would use this if an employee requested that Federal or State withholding be blocked from this single check.
Flat Dollar Amount for Tax: Select the Block box first to prevent the scheduled amount from being deducted, and then enter the exact amount needed for the tax (ex: $250 for Federal withholding and $100 for State withholding).
Additional Tax Amount: You can add an additional tax amount by entering the additional amount in the Dollars box next to the tax. When inputting additional tax amounts, do not select the Block box.
