The Green (+) will create additional lines for an employee and allow you to select the Paperclip icon to override the pay rate for specific hours. The Paperclip displays Alternative Pay Rates and a blank field where an override rate can be manually entered. The employee must have the alternate rates set up at the employee level for them to show in the window. [See Employee Pay: Alternate Pay Rates.]
💡 When using Alternate Pay Rates, the individual cells turn yellow. This is a visual indicator that an alternative rate is being used.
No Override Rate: The employee’s normal hourly rate will apply.
Blank Field: A one-time rate override option.
💡 Example: The employee is paid $9.50 while attending a 2-hour orientation. Select the paperclip, and use the blank field to input $9.50 as the override rate for the 2 hours worked.
