Pay Groups can be set up to group employees for different pay rules, such as: pay frequencies and locations, or to separate reporting. Most accounts have only one Pay Group, where all employees’ pay is processed together. Multiple pay groups can be set up when needed; they are processed independently, with separate pay period reports.
Ensure you are accessing the correct Pay Group if you have more than one, and verify again before processing.
Payroll → Schedule
Pay Groups are located in the Payroll Section on the Schedule Menu.
Payroll → Time Entry → Time Entry Grid → Change Pay Group link
While in the Time Entry Grid, you can view the Pay Group above the grid. Select Change Pay Group to toggle between each group.
Payroll → Process Payroll → Preview/Process Payroll tab → Change Pay Group link
When finalizing and processing your payroll, you can see which Pay Group you are processing payroll for above the Preview/Process Payroll table.
