There are three levels of navigation in the Heartland Payroll system.
- Section: Along the side, Dashboard, Client, Employees, Payroll, and Reports.
- Menu: Left-hand navigation options change based on the section.
- Tabs: Appear after a menu item is selected. Tabs are specific to each menu item; not all menu options contain tabs.
💡 The Client section will only be visible to those with access to more than one payroll account or those who have the HR product.
Section
Select a Section to navigate to that area of the payroll system.
Default Sections: Dashboard, Employees, Payroll, and Reports.
Additional Sections: Client and HR Solutions (based on your selected Payroll Services).
Menu
Once a Section has been selected, the left-hand navigation Menu will appear.
Tabs
Once the Menu option is selected, additional Tabs may appear to bring closely related information together for easy navigation.
Section: Payroll
In the Payroll Section, the Menu provides the Tabs to process payroll.
💡 The blue buttons guide you to the next menu option to process your payroll, or you can select from the menu on the left.
