Overview
This guide will demonstrate the function and use of the Mobile Manager Manager Logbook, which is available in Mobile Manager 4.5 and above.
The Manager Logbook allows store owners and managers to easily communicate essential information related to their store’s operation by way of shared entries, designated as Notes or Tasks. It provides:
- A list of notes pertaining to the store’s operation. For example, perhaps bad weather adversely affected sales on a particular day.
- A checklist of all tasks for the store’s operation, such as scheduled maintenance, cleaning, and organization tasks.
All entries are updated and synchronized in real-time for all store managers, and on all devices.

The letter T in a circle indicates a Task.
The exclamation mark indicates the priority of the item. It is color coded to indicate different levels of priority.
The paperclip indicates a Note is attached to a report.
The paper copies icon indicates you can copy the details of an entry to create a new entry.
Tasks have a checkbox so that you can indicate when a task is complete.

Manager Logbook’s Real Time Functionality
One store can have multiple owners and, conversely, one store owner can be attached to multiple stores. The Manager Logbook features real-time functionality to provide everyone information that is always up to date. For example, Store X has several store owners. One owner creates a new task using Manager Logbook, and it is immediately visible to all the store owners in real time. If Notify When push notifications are enabled for the creation of tasks and notes, the other owners will receive notice of the new entry.
In this scenario, regardless of alerts settings, the new entry displays immediately in the entry list, and is designated with a blue dot icon indicating the entry has not yet been read. By clicking on the new item, the owner can view all the details, and the system automatically moves the item from Unread to Read.
When someone comments on an entry, this activity is reflected in real time with the addition of an orange dot icon. If you tap the entry, you can read the comment and make additional comments. After a comment has been viewed, the dot disappears. In this way, store owners can communicate in real time about new Tasks and Notes.
Note: This same functionality is true when an entry is edited by another manager (for example, if the target date of a task is changed, or the description of a note is changed).
