Overview
Integrate Remote Eyes with your restaurant or bar to minimize employee theft, protect against liability and fraudulent claims, improve your operations management capability, and reduce losses. The Remote Eye integration is able to push data in real time through our API to support surveillance system overlay on tickets created within Heartland Restaurant.
How It Works
POSWatch (Remote Eye installed application) receives transaction data from Heartland Restaurant in real time, saves the data to the local SQL database, and finally sends the related text lines to the DVR. This allows the merchant to later search through recordings and data to view recordings directly from POSWatch.
Setup & Configuration
To configure a Heartland restaurant site to use the Remote Eyes integration, perform the following procedures.
First, obtain the static IP address of the Remote Eyes server that the POS will communicate with. On the same server station, you must set the program to use port 4400 to ensure communication is not blocked.
Next, enter the IP address of that server station in the location’s settings.
- Log into the Admin Console, and select the appropriate account and location.
- In the Main Menu, select Location Settings, then click Settings.
- In the Location Settings screen, in the Advanced Settings area, enter the IP address in the Surveillance Destination IP Address
- Click .
