The Time Off Approval Path Window allows the user to choose whether the time off requests must be approved by a supervisor or administrator, or both.
You can access this from Administration - Time Off Settings.
Select the Add Path button on the top right hand side of the screen after selecting the Approval Paths tab.
Once the Add Approval Path window is pulled up, it will allow the user to:
-
- Name and describe the Approval Path.
- Define approval path conditions. You have several options, including Automatic Approval, One or More Approvers, or you may follow the Supervisory Hierarchy.
- For One or More Approvers, select the roles which will be required to approve the time off request, and specify whether all or any must approve for the request to go through.
- For Supervisor Hierarchy specify the number of levels where time off requests should go within the hierarchy.
- You may limit the number of hours for time off requests (for example, up to one week at a time).
- Choose what happens when an employee’s time off request is rejected. You may return the request to the employee or send the request back to the previous approvers.
- Choose what happens once the time off request hour limit is reached. You may automatically approve the time off request, forward the request to the supervisor(s), or have the system send you an email notification.
